We went into the Melbourne CBD on Sunday afternoon to shoot Krystle an Tim's engagement session. This was a quick shoot as the guys had tickets to the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Fearing they may be the subject of a joke if they walked in late we got the job done quickly, the results were magic.
Engagement shoots are normally about getting the couple accustomed with being photographed. I have to say it was a pleasure working with someone that is used to being in the spotlight. Krystle plays American Football for Victoria's representative team (The Victorian Maidens), and is often in front of the camera as an ambassador for the expansion of the sport in Australia. This really came through in the shots, a happy relaxed couple are always great to shoot and a photographers pleasure.
The one lesson I did learn from this shoot is to take a step ladder with me on the wedding day as Tim is a towering 193cm and I am dwarfed by him at just 155cm!! : )
I am really looking forward to photographing their special day at Emu Bottom Homestead in a couple of weeks.
